The Sumpango Festival

Also known as the “Festival of Giant Kites,” is a cultural event held every year on November 1st in Sumpango, Sacatepéquez. 

On this occasion, the Sumpango town is adorned with multiple colors as various works of art in the form of giant kites soar through the sky, a blend of art, tradition, and color that magnificently announces the celebration of Day of the Dead.
